Galashiels Town Centre - Pride
12th - 30th Aug 2026
Please be aware that we have been informed that a number of roads in Galashiels town centre will be closed on Saturday 29th August to allow the Scottish Borders Pride event to take place.
As a result, all services departing Galashiels Interchange between 11:30 and 13:00 will operate on diversion during these times.
Services 51, 60, 67, 68, 70, 73 and X95 (southbound) will turn right and operate via Stirling Street, Stirling Place, Ladhope Vale and Currie Road before rejoining their normal route.
Services X62 and X95 (northbound) will turn right and operate via Stirling Street, Stirling Place, Ladhope Vale, Bridge Place and Bridge Street before rejoining their normal route from the Iceland bus stop.

A72 Walkerburn Major Resurfacing Works
12th Aug 2026 - 5th Sep 2026
Please be advised that we have been informed that the A72 through Walkerburn will be closed to large vehicles between 08:00 and 17:00, from Monday 24 August to Friday 4th September 2026, excluding weekends, to allow major resurfacing works to take place.
As a result, the normal through operation of the X62 will be temporarily suspended during these times. A shuttle bus service will operate between the Caberston Road bus stop in Walkerburn (on Galashiels Road) and the lay-by on the eastern side of Innerleithen.
Bus stops beyond Caberston Road End and along the 20mph section towards Innerleithen will not be served while the roadworks are in place.
Customers travelling through the affected area will be required to transfer between the shuttle bus and the normal X62 service at the Caberston Road bus stop and the Innerleithen lay-by in order to continue their journey in either direction.
Minor delays are also expected throughout the duration of these works.

Peebles Highland Games.
25th Aug 2026 - 6th Sep 2026
Peebles Highland Games.
We have been advised that the above event will take place on Saturday 5th of September 2026, which may affect Service X62 at certain times.
The High Street and Eastgate will be subject to rolling road closures between 10:00 and 10:30 and 17:15 and 18:30 to allow parade processions to pass through the town.
As a result, minor delays to Service X62 may be experienced during these periods.

Lowther Street, Carlisle Bus Stand Closures.

Lowther Street, Carlisle Bus Stand Closures.
We have been advised that the bus stands on Lowther Street, Carlisle will be closed from Tuesday 1st of September 2026 to allow essential street refurbishment works to be carried out.
As a result, Service X95 will temporarily relocate from Stand K (Club Britannia) to Stand J (Howards Arms), located further north along Lowther Street.
The local authority anticipates that these works will remain in place until January 2027.

Tour of Britain 2026.
We would like to advise customers that, due to the Tour of Britain taking place on Sunday 6th of September 2026, Services 51 and 60 are expected to experience significant disruption.
This is due to temporary closures of the A6105 at various times throughout the day.
We are working closely with the event organisers to minimise the impact wherever possible and appreciate your patience and understanding while these arrangements are in place.
Service 51 and Service 60:
All journeys will operate their normal route between Galashiels and Earlston. However, due to the closure of Earlston High Street and the bus stance, services will remain on the A68 and will arrive at and depart from the bus stops near the Morrisons petrol station.
Service 60:
Between Earlston, Greenlaw and Berwick, Service 60 will operate via a diversion route using the A68 south of Lauder, then the B6362 to the A697, rejoining its normal route at Greenlaw in both directions.
As a result of this diversion, Gordon village will not be served on this day. We apologise to customers affected by this change.
Service 60 may also experience additional delays in the Duns area throughout the day.

We would like to advise customers that, due to the Tour of Britain taking place on Sunday 6th of September 2026, Services 51 and 60 are expected to experience significant disruption.
This is due to temporary closures of the A6105 at various times throughout the day.

We have been advised that, due to a local event, Main Street, Newstead will be closed between 10:00 and 18:00 on Sunday 6th of September 2026.
As a result, Service 60 will be unable to serve the village during these times.
Customers wishing to board or alight Service 60 should use the bus stops on the A6091, which will serve as the nearest alternative stopping points.
